I began This project by creating a calender so that I could plan out my time in a way that would be helpful the the process of construction for this garment.
I then went on to create some inital ideas by drawing out a mind map, I feel this helps me to understand how my different ideas and compartmentalise them so I can create a stong foundation for my ideas to stem.
Once I had decided I wanted to make a waistcoat for the White Rabbit I lokked at how I could dye some calico and made a technucal draing to show exactly how I wanted to make. my waistcoat.
I then dyed my fabric using Dylon blue dye which I learnt how to do during my Skills passport Workshop and experimented with Lyno prninting to create a print on the garments fabric which I also learnt how to do during my skills Passport workshops. I decided to do clocks and a checkered print as they feature a lot during the Alice in wonderland original illustrations.
Finally I created my waistcoat and made a clock out of plasterzote to add to the pocket. I decided to make a tie in the back so its easily adjustable and can be easily taken on and off people.
