At the start of my construction projects I begin by writing a plan of action so I can clearly write out my process and when I aim to get it done by, this helps me to organise my time and set goals for myself.

I did my technical drawing of my Normal People wasitcoat so I can give clear information on how I want my finished garment to look

After making my toil and doing my toil fitting on Zoe I took it apart and changed the pattern dependent on how I wanted my toil to fit her and if there were any parts I needed to make smaller or make bigger I adapted my appern at this point.

For some samples, I used my mini manequin that I made at the begining of the year and made some mini bodices to go on them including panelling, shaping the neck and pivotting darts.

Finally I made my waistcoat, I bought an old curtain from a charity shop and made the waistcoat using that fabric to keep it as ethical and sustainable as I could.

I am happy with my waistcoat, it was slightly amll on my model so next time I would be more precise in my fitting and with my measurements. Next time I would also place my buttons an equal distance away so that they look neater and I would use the same buttons. Overal I am happy with how it turned out, however if I was to redo my waistcoat I would make some small changes.
