We learnt about how to dye material using multi purpose dye.
To begin with you measure the amount of dye that we need for our fabric, choose and colour and then add it to the right amount of water in a pot on the heat.
The fabric needs to be washed, dried and rinsed before it can go in the dye to make sure that the preservative film on the fabric has been washed off this means that that the fabric once died will not be patchy. Then you stir the fabric in the water constantly so that it all gets covered.
I used this for my Alice in wonderland project to dye my calico so it was blue.
