We learnt how to make a simple hat using a pattern. I decided to pick a baseball cap as I wanted to create a more modern hat that can be recognised with lots of different types of people.
I wanted to just wrap my head around using a pattern to create a hate.
I used the pattern to cut out my fabric pieces along the grain of my fabric and once I had done that I cut out my piece for the visor at the front of the baseball cap.
I then lined it and sewed it all together using a sewing machine.
Over all I think my hat was successful and I found the sewing process fairly easy. To improve I would have lined the hat and added wire and cardboard in the front to add structure as it just flopped over the face which was not very flattering how I would have liked my hat to look like.
